The white [vinyl] seats were swapped in from a '93 Collector' Edition as well as both front fenders. Not sure what the original interior was. White GT Grant steering wheel, manual windows. Got the vent windows too! Originally dual-rounds, but switched to single-rounds. I lowered the car, and refinished the Ronal LS wheels I bought it with. Have many more things in store for her. Love this car, been the best $1000 car I ever bought.Show More

Owner Notes: This is our new-to-us Cabby. The clocked stopped working at 188K a couple of years ago according to the previous owner. Her best guess was around 210K miles.... The original white seats were heavily stained and are currently covered and waiting to be redone. The top looks to be original as does most of the paint; one door and fender have been repainted from what I can tell. The rest of the body is in excellent condition other than two surface rust spots on the rear corners; we'll have those fixed soon as well. This is an extra car and will only be driven in the warmer dry months; they salt here and we want to keep the car as rust-free as possible. She has been named Ruby Jane after one of my favorite songs and my wife's first car. The skull in the window is a permanent fixture; it was in the trunk, we liked it, and named it Yorick. She is a great addition to our family of VWs and we love her.Show More

They maintained it by date and not mileage since they only drive it 1500 miles a year. They ended up moving to a snowier climate (I think Tennessee) where the put it in a storage garage. The next owner heard about it from their neighbor and rescued it, bringing the car to Arizona. He finished most of the restoration of the aged bits. I bought it and finished the job.
